Plug the psu into a power socket to ground the pc. Bind all the power cables coming out of the psu together and put them to one side. Even the first computer i got to post i build sitting on my wool carpet in my pajamas. I mean i wouldn t recommend doing that but honestly all you really have to do is touch.

Heck i built my first computers on carpet. Instead of building a pc directly on your carpet you should build it on a desk and ensure you re not wearing extremely fuzzy socks or clothing that makes you shock things when you touch them.

Hi i am waiting for my pc parts to come from newegg in about two days and i was wondering if i could build it on non shaggy carpet just flat i have an anti static wrist strap and i am also wondering what do i connect the clip too i heard that i connect my power supply to the wall but make sure.
